Pupils Represent School at House of Lords Justice Reception

Some of our students recently played an important role in a national conversation on justice as part of the Generation Alpha Speaks Out on Justice initiative led by the Diocese of Gloucester. Mikey, Gabriel, Harry, Rufus and Joseph took part in the original online consultation during the summer term of Year 10. Their contributions helped shape a wider piece of work exploring young people’s views on justice, fairness and the criminal justice system. Mikey and Rufus were then invited to attend a reception on 2 December hosted by the Bishop of Gloucester (and HM Anglican Bishop for Prisons), the Rt Revd Rachel Treweek at the House of Lords. The event brought together peers, MPs, prison governors, academics and experts in criminal justice. During the reception, Rufus was interviewed by the Bishop in front of the audience, speaking confidently about young people’s perspectives on justice.

We are extremely proud of all the pupils involved for representing the school so thoughtfully and articulately throughout.
