We went to four different sites along the River Churn to investigate how channel characteristics change as stream order increases.
At each site we measured various characteristics of the river such as depth, width, wetted perimeter and velocity. We also made observations and measurements of the river's load. All of our observations and measurements will be collaborate to determine how channel characteristics change as stream order increases. This will form an important part of our WJEC A2 Geography course. We will sit an examination paper worth 10% of our final mark based on the fieldwork enquiry we will have completed.
