Shaping Futures 2026

Our Shaping Futures 2025–26 programme launched two weeks ago with a fantastic icebreaker activity, as pupils worked together to build marshmallow and spaghetti towers. This hands-on challenge helped new students get to know their Sixth Form mentors while developing teamwork and problem-solving skills. Pupils then spent time exploring Atom Learning’s Maths and English support platform, which has been kindly provided by Atom Learning.
Mentors and primary pupils are already looking forward to the next session, which will include a site-wide treasure hunt to help them explore Sir Thomas Rich’s School, alongside further one-to-one support in Maths and English.
Sessions take place fortnightly at Sir Thomas Rich’s for eligible local pupils in Years 4 and 5, offering enrichment activities and targeted support to help prepare pupils for the 11+ examination.
