Our talented Sixth Form Art students have been creating some truly amazing artwork, both before the school closed and during the lockdown. You can follow the Art Department over on Instagram at @strsartdepartment for all the very latest updates from all the year groups. Shown here are works by:
Harley Branfield (photographic portrait) – you can see more of Harley’s thoughtful and reflective visual story telling on Instagram.
Osagioduwa Obasuyi (mask painting) – exploring identity within her recent work, Osagioduwa experimented with a range of printmaking and mark making techniques before specialising in paint.
Evie Davies (sea life painting, also in main picture) – Evie explores the damage and destruction we create and inflict on sea life in her beautifully detailed work.
Mimi Sedgeley (blue face portrait, also in main picture) – Mimi’s stunning artwork is inspired by a series of experimental photoshoots.
Nate Parker (manga image and line drawing) – Nate takes inspiration from a range of art movements, illustrators, literature and music to create his own digital drawings, which are then used to create experimental clothing.
Charlie Organ (main picture/header) – conceptual artwork inspired by Anselm Kiefer, here Charlie has explored the potential of concrete and ink.
