Southgate Wins House Creative Writing Competition

We are delighted to announce that Lilly R (Southgate, 12C) has been awarded first place in the House Creative Writing Competition for her poem ‘Ice Always Melts’. Second place was awarded to Devank S (Newgate, 9C) for ‘The Dream Unpledged’, and third place to Henry D (Eastgate, 12G) for ‘The Space Between Clouds’. Open to pupils in all year groups, the competition invited a response to the theme ‘I Have a Dream’. Entries explored a range of ideas, from personal ambitions and imagined worlds to reflective interpretations of dreaming.

  • 5th place – Northgate

Well done to all pupils who took part. An impressive range of talent and ideas was on display, and the judges had an extremely tough time narrowing the field.
