Today the 1st XI cricket team took an the staff in a Twenty 20 match. It was a very entertaining match that eventually ended in a tie.

The boys batted first and Matt Cox with 42 and Seth Price with 39 not out helped them achieve 161-9 off their 20 overs. Mr O'Neil took an impressive 5 catches and Mr Raddon took 3 wickets for only 7 runs.

The staff team made up of only a couple of cricketers faced an uphill battle; however a superb 78 off 48 balls from Mr Robson helped to give the staff a chance. Good bowling from Connor Holland and 1st XI captain Joel Price helped slow the run rate down but other decent performances with the bat from Mr O'Neil, Mr Gallagher and Mr Rideout made sure the staff needed 10 off the final over. Eventually needing 3 runs to win off the last ball Mr Williams managed to sprint up and down to get 2 runs by diving in to tie the game.
