The formal gowning ceremony took place in assembly this week for our new Year 13 Student Leadership Team. As is our tradition, the outgoing School Captains returned to the School for the handover, and we wish Poppy and James all the very best in their endeavours as they start at university. The school community, including family members, welcomed the new Captains, Eilidh and Michael, and their Deputy Captains Evie and Henry, along with the new team of Observators and prefects.

The prestigious title of Observator dates back to when the School was first established in the 17th century, and the oldest pupil would be charged with 'observing' the younger pupils while the Master was away.

Pupils go through a rigorous selection process; they feel honoured to be part of the Student Leadership Team and wear their gowns with pride. Congratulations to the new intake, who will support the School in various ways over the next year, including at open days and many other events.
