On Wednesday, 8th February two teams entered the annual BASE Competition, organised by ICAEW. The competition requires students to analyse numerous pieces of information based on a real business scenario. Following their assessment of the business, the teams had to make judgements on the key risks facing the business as well as suggesting strategies for future success before summarising their findings in a four minute presentation. Both teams performed exceptionally well under pressurised conditions and I am pleased to announce that one team won the competition and now proceed to the national final in late June.
