The Tempest

On Thursday, twenty-eight year ten boys went to Shakespeare’s Globe in London to watch The Tempest, one of Shakespeare’s later plays. In hot June weather, but standing with in the shade of the roof, the boys were treated to a show full of dramatic tension, intrigue, sorcery and romance. Highlights included Roger Allam as Prospero, and Colin Morgan (TVs Merlin) as Ariel, who appeared as a stilt wearing Harpy complete with ten-foot wings. The interpretation was full of humour and some hilarious moments, whilst still discussing the nature of power and status.
