Virtual Speech Day - Friday 9 October at 7.30pm

Published Friday 2 October 2020 by SJV

All students and their families are warmly invited to our Virtual Speech Day event on Friday 9 October at 7.30pm. Speech Day is usually one of the School’s key occasions, recognising the achievements of prize winners and cataloguing more general success from the previous academic year. Due to the pandemic, this year it is unfortunately not possible to run the event in its usual format in the School Hall. However, we would very much like to invite students and their families to attend our virtual event, which will be broadcast at 7.30pm on 9 October on our YouTube channel - the link for which will be available on our website at www.strschool.co.uk on 9 October (pre-registration is not required).

We will hear from our guest speaker, Tom Plant, a former pupil who is now Director of Proliferation and Nuclear Policy for the Royal United Services Institute for Defence and Security Studies in Whitehall – the world's oldest independent think tank on international defence and security. Our Virtual Speech Day will also feature an address from Mr Morgan, the opportunity to hear from the Chairman of the Governors and a selection of awards will be presented to a number of students.

Please do join us for what we hope will be a unifying and important event for the entire School community.
