Year 8 worked with the English and Drama department today to practically explore Shakespeare's 'The Tempest.' Various Drama workshops were delivered throughout the day exploring key drama skills, characterisation and key themes from the play. The boys all worked together effectively and devised their own performances that were shown to the whole year group at the end of the day. The performances showed a wonderfully creative vision and talent across the year group. Mrs Saunders, Mrs Spilsbury, Mr Lloyd, Mr Parker, Mr Margetts, Mr O'Neill, Mr Gallagher and Mrs S E Jones all worked together to deliver the workshops and help the boys experience Shakespeare practically on stage. It was an enjoyable, creative and educational day for all. Thanks to all that took part!
