On Friday 6th January the whole of Year 10 attended an excellent study skills workshop, run by Elevate.

They were exposed to different memory techniques to try to help them remember lists, orders, formulae, quotations and much more. With the GCSEs changing, the boys are now required to learn and recall much more than pupils in the past. Formulas sheets that were once available in Science and Maths are now reduced, while in subjects such as English they must remember numerous quotations.

The feedback was very positive and I hope that they can all try out some of these techniques in the coming weeks as they prepare for their examinations that take place at the end of February.
