On Monday, 30 year 11 German pupils had the opportunity to visit Bristol University. The visit included a very interesting tour of the campus and the School of Modern Foreign Languages. The tour was followed by a talk on ‘Feste und Traditionen’ by Jonas Langner, Languages Director at the University. This is one of the core topics of the new GCSE German specification and boys were able to demonstrate their newly developed comprehension skills as the talk was conducted entirely in German. Their ability to understand is credit to them and the work they have put in to preparing for the new GCSE examinations. It was a very enjoyable trip and the boys will be able to use the vocabulary they learnt during the visit in their speaking examinations which take place after the Easter break. Frohe Ostern!
