Year 13 Biology Fieldtrip

Our Year 13 biologists enjoyed a three-day trip to the Field Studies Council Margam Discovery Centre near Port Talbot last week. The residential brought classroom learning to life, giving students the chance to explore local ecosystems and gain hands-on experience in a stunning natural setting.
FSC Margam Discovery Centre is a cutting-edge, eco-friendly building set within Margam Park - an 850-acre estate home to around 600 deer, including the rare Pere David species. The park is also one of Wales’s top bat habitats, nestled on the coastal plain and southern slopes of Mynydd Margam. With ponds, streams, woodlands, and grasslands all around, the centre is the perfect base for discovering a wide range of ecosystems.
