Congratulations to Year 7 pupil Joey, who has enjoyed his most successful road cycling season ever. He has reached the podium in all bar one of the regional races in which he has competed this year, including five wins and three second place finishes. In doing so, Joey was crowned British Cycling Southern League Champion, and finished in second place overall in the British Cycling West Midlands League. These are excellent achievements, following on from a 6th place finish in the three-day national series on the Isle of Man. The results reflect all the hard work Joey has put in to his training this year, clocking up a staggering 6100km on the bike since the start of January.  Next up is the European Junior Cycling Tour Assen, in the Netherlands, which takes place in the summer holidays. This is a five-day stage race that attracts the best cycling talent from over 30 countries worldwide, and the closest youth riders get to a Tour de France-type experience.
