Two Year 8 students have been running a charity chess tournament over the last week to raise money for Cancer Research. Matthew Hewer and Thomas Forster organised a chess tournament for 32 students in Year 8, and every lunch time they have been working hard to arrange suitable pairs and log the results. Entry was 20p per student and Matthew and Thomas have raised £45, all on their own initiative – well done both.
